Ready to Learn Fair:
The annual Ready-to-Learn Fair held Saturday, August 21 served 112 families and 214 children and teens in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Families in need who weren’t able to attend the Fair may call the Anacortes Salvation Army and set up a time to get backpacks and school supplies for their children. Please contact the Salvation Army at 293-6682 between now and Friday, September 3.

Welcome back to all of our current students and parents, as well as a heartfelt welcome from our staff to all of our new students and families.
Our teachers and staff are busy planning and preparing to ensure every student experiences tremendous academic and behavioral growth over the course of this coming school year. I know our staff will bring a “can do attitude” when teaching and working with our students.
There are several activities taking place to help our students and parents have a smooth and successful transition into the new school year. “Meet & Greets” and “Open Houses” are times to meet and visit your child’s teachers, visit the school and classrooms. “Curriculum Nights” are a chance to see and hear the learning standards and instructional materials your child will be experiencing this school year. It is also a time to find out how best to help your child experience a successful school year.
The following is a quick summary of the opening events taking place:
