The Anacortes School District is launching an effort to revise and update its current strategic plan. The strategic plan will set forth a broad vision for the school district for our kids, and we are asking parents, staff, and the broader community for their input. Like the district’s current plan, the new strategic plan will also set forth some measurable and achievable goals to help our students succeed throughout their educational career and beyond.
“Updating our plan is a way for us to re-focus and make sure our short and long-terms goals prepare our students for the future,” said Superintendent Mark Wenzel. “We want this plan to be a living, breathing document that will serve as a touchstone for all in our community.”
There are several ways you can get involved – take a survey, join a focus group, or serve on the steering committee. The steering committee will meet for about 20 hours over the course of 4 to 5 months, starting in February. For more information, including a link to apply, click here.
