Anacortes schools have highly supportive families and community members. This partnership results in an incredible amount of volunteers in our schools each year. In any given year, we have over 900 volunteers donating more than 19,000 hours to our district. In addition, partnerships with local industry, the City of Anacortes, the Port of Anacortes, Island Hospital and the Chamber of Commerce; along with the Anacortes Schools Foundation, local service clubs, private foundations and individual citizens give generously to sustain and enrich learning opportunities for our students. In our last election, this unique school/community partnership resulted in one of highest school levy “yes votes” in the State of Washington. We cannot thank you enough.
There are many ways to engage in our district and become involved. We encourage you to share your unique perspective and skills with our schools and students. Together, we can provide a wide range of opportunities for our students and community.
