The Anacortes School District has been engaged in promoting a more equitable learning environment for all our students.
WHY?
To realize the potential of all students, we must take an active stance in creating more equitable access to enrichment opportunities; addressing and disrupting personal and institutional biases wherever they may be; allocating resources to achieve more equitable outcomes; highlighting the importance of equity in the classroom through culturally responsive teaching; and prioritizing the closing of gaps across classrooms and schools. We must do this to achieve our Vision: that all Anacortes students rise to their fullest potential, embrace the future, and make a difference.
