The district celebrates Teacher Appreciation week from May 4-8 and School Nurse Appreciation Day on May 6 and invites everyone to recognize our dedicated staff who show care and compassion for our students and empower them with a love of learning.

Now, more than ever, we have seen our teachers rise to new challenges, embrace change, and continue providing high-quality education in our distance-learning model.

The district will be highlighting some of its certificated staff on its Facebook page throughout the week.

Superintendent Mark Wenzel expressed appreciation for our teachers and noted the creativity he has seen throughout the pandemic.

“I am so proud of our teachers. I have seen them come together to support one another in very challenging times,” said Wenzel. “They are teaching from home, caring for families as well, and adapting to our new learning model.”

Wenzel also expressed appreciation for the district’s nurses, who have been helping to staff the district’s child care program.

“Our nurses are incredibly dedicated, organized, and have a heart for children,” said Wenzel. “I’m grateful to them for their help in making sure that we can run our childcare program safely.”
