Image: community engagement header Join the Anacortes School District as we listen and learn together to build common interests and share hopes and dreams for our students. This will launch future collaborative discussions about advanced pathways and programs.

Monday, June 21 - 5-6:15 p.m.
Anacortes High School Commons

As a reminder, we will be holding committees next year and that is the venue where programs and pathways will be discussed.

The purpose of this community engagement session is to listen and learn together to build a foundation for the work to come.
  • student panel about their academic experience, desires for the future, hopes/dreams to achieve those desires and what’s helped and would be helpful for them to be successful

  • table group research (using white papers from national associations) and discussion (noticings and wonderings) to build common interests

  • gallery walk - table groups hopes and dreams for students experiences

There will be a "parking lot" for participants to share specific program and pathway ideas, questions, concerns and wonders.

  • 5-10 minute intro and opening - throughout the session participants write on the “gallery” hopes and dreams for students experience

  • 30 minutes student panel

  • 20 minutes research/white papers - small table groups

  • 5 minutes close and committees info and how to share interest

Please note this is not intended to be a Town Hall or Q&A session about any positions and/or recommendations from any particular stakeholder, rather, an opportunity to listen and learn together to build a foundation for our work ahead.

Attendees must register in advance: https://forms.gle/YAyHfefjcCrH4GUm8
