Student in mask

We continue to plan for our secondary students' in-person return, based on local case numbers and health department guidelines. I assure you that we want students back in school. We are working around the clock to make it happen. As we continue to design our plans, we will follow state health guidelines, which include:

  • Protect staff and students at higher risk for severe COVID-19 while ensuring access to learning.

  • Transport or facilitate drop-off and pick-up of students.

  • Group students into cohorts,

  • Practice physical distancing of ≥6 feet among students and staff.

  • Routines for frequent hand washing and sanitizing.

  • Promote and ensure face covering use among students and staff.

  • Increase cleaning and disinfection.

  • Improve ventilation.

Skagit County Health Department reviews all our plans, and we will continue to follow their guidance.

Vaccination updates

Skagit County has developed a vaccination plan, which can be found on their website: https://www.skagitcounty.net/Departments/HealthDiseases/coronavirusvaccine.htm

Phase Finder

If you want to know what phase you’re in, find your spot in line with Phase Finder. Here’s how it works:

  • Go to FindYourPhaseWA.org and fill out the questionnaire.
  • If you’re eligible, you will get a confirmation.
  • Phase Finder will show you locations where you can get the vaccine.
  • Call and schedule your appointment.
  • Take your Eligibility Confirmation (printed or a screenshot) with you.
  • If you aren’t eligible for the vaccine yet, you’ll be able to sign up to get an email or text alert when you are.

Adverse Weather Reminders

With snow in the forecast this weekend, please familiarize yourself with the district's adverse weather protocols. Remote learning offers the ability to move to a fully-remote learning day if buses can't safely transport our students. Calendar Updates

On January 13, we had to cancel school due to a power and internet outage. This day will be made up at the end of the year, so the final day of school will now be Tuesday, June 22. The updated calendar is posted here.
