Hidden in Plain Sight is an evidence-based program that provides an important educational tool for families of teens.
The program helps parents and caregivers notice warning signs for high-risk behavior such as substance abuse, but with a non-alarmist approach based in active listening, awareness, and fostering a caring environment. A mock teenage bedroom is displayed to show the audience visual examples of warning signs.
Duana Wilkins, founder of Change Addiction Now, a national organization focused on bringing family voice to addiction and recovery will be our guest presenter.
Limited on-site child care is available and must be arranged in advance with Nicole Mortimer at nmortimer@asd103.org.
