AMS will be transitioning to a 7-period schedule for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking forward to this change and the many advantages and opportunities it will provide AMS students. We know caregivers and students will have questions. Below you will find an informational video with details about the 7-period schedule. There is also a link where you may submit any questions you have about the 7-period schedule. VIsit the 7-Period AMS Webpage HERE.

AMS and AHS administrators held a caregiver webinar on Thursday, February 21 to review the hate speech material that would be presented to AMS and AHS students. We strive for Anacortes to be a place where all students and all staff belong and can focus on learning and educating. Hate speech and related actions are impacting our community and this material is intended to indentify what you and our students need to know and understand about how and why words and actions cross the line into hate.
We are excited to announce an initiative to enhance our school facilities by installing a new sound system in our gym and commons area. We are started securing funds and bids for this project 2 years ago and are excited to say it is close to becoming a reality for install! This upgrade will greatly benefit our school events, assemblies, sports games, and performances, providing a high-quality audio experience for everyone. Our Anacortes community at large will also benefit any time they attend events or through facilities rental packages.
To make this project a reality, we are seeking donations from our generous school community. Your contributions, no matter the size, will make a significant impact and help us achieve our goal. If you or someone you know is able, donations can be made through the AMS website and are greatly appreciated. We are projected to need to spend about $50k and are about halfway there thanks to our successful ASB fundraiser this year, two years of generous donations from our PTSA, a one time gift from Marathon and donation a few years ago earmarked for this from the ASF.
Donations can be made through the AMS office by stopping by or calling or you may make a donation by using the link below:

Can you help? As a district, we are facing a large amount of debt in our food and nutrition services department due to student accounts going into debt. We are reaching out for grants and looking into avenues to find funding, however, if your family can help, we would love to pay off the debt for all AMS students and even better, all ASD students! For AMS we have about $3,000 in debt and in our district, we have about $10,000 in debt. If you or someone you know can donate funds, AMS is glad to collect the funds and pass them along to our food and nutrition department.
