Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
Contact Athletics & Activities Director Justin Portz to reserve your spot:
jportz@asd103.org or (360) 503-1305
Is my sponsorship tax deductible?
Yes, 100% tax deductible! Donations or grants to Anacortes High School's Associated Student Body (ASB) receive status as a charitable contribution by the donor through provisions of IRC Section 170.
Where does the money go?
100% of the money goes directly into the Anacortes High School's Associated Student Body (ASB) account which is designated to benefit ALL students of Anacortes High School through sports, activities, clubs and events.
Who controls the money?
The Activities and Athletics Director along with the ASB Advisor provide AHS staff oversight and guidance to ASB officers (student leadership) in the management of all ASB funds. All transactions and transfers of funds from the ASB account must be voted by ASB leadership (students) and approved by the AD. The money will be allocated to individual ASB sub-clubs on an as needed basis with the primary purpose of helping to alleviate the burden and impact of recent budget cuts on AHS students.
What if I want my money to go directly to a specific club or sport?
Private donations can be made to a specific activity or club through their Head Advisor. Private donations can be made to a specific sport through their SABA (Booster's) Representative and Head Coach. These private donations are welcome and appreciated but are not part of this ASB Sponsorship Program.

No. Advertisements of products and/or services that interfere with the district’s mission to educate students or that could detract from the district’s mission by creating substantial controversy, interfering with, or diverting resources from school operations, and/or posing foreseeable risks or harm or material and substantial disruption to schools are prohibited.
